This Aussie Driving Habit Could Cost You $500

Aussie woman, Lucinda McGarrity (who goes as C1nderella on TikTok), took to the platform to share her traumatic experience of being pulled over for a driving offence that most people are guilty of on a daily basis.

The incident occurred at 8:30am in front of Florian, a popular brunch spot in Melbourne, where she was then breath tested and drug tested.

She described the experience as happening in “very dramatic fashion”.

For the offence, Lucinda received a $500 fine and then issued a warning to everybody to not drive through amber lights.

It is generally not recommended or legal to drive through an amber light in Australia. The amber light signals that the traffic light is about to turn red, and drivers should prepare to stop. However, there may be certain circumstances in which it is safe and permissible to proceed through an amber light, such as if a driver is unable to safely stop before reaching the intersection. Additionally, in some states and territories, a driver may proceed through an amber light if the driver is already committed to the intersection and the light turns amber just as the driver reaches it.

It is always recommended to consult with local traffic laws and regulations before making a decision.
