New Australian airline Bonza are launching with flights as low as $49!

The airline’s first ever flight will take off from the Sunshine Coat on Tuesday 31 January and touchdown in the Whitsundays.

Bonza’s chief commercial officer Carly Povey says that “It’s time to see more of your own backyard for less.” She went on to say that Bonza is dedicated to make traveling more accessible to more people and to better connect regions, with 93 per cent of Bonza routes are currently not used by any other airline and 96 per cent currently not used by any other low cost/low budget airline.

“It’s important that Aussie travellers know we’re on sale, not having a sale. We’re committed to low-cost fares which will, in turn, stimulate new markets for Australia’s domestic tourism industry. We’re confident whenever customers choose to travel, all our fares and not just our starting fares will represent great value,” Povey said.

The cheapest flights that Bonza currently have on offer is $49 (one way) to and from places including the Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton, Port Macquarie and Coff Harbour. While the most expensive Bonza flights are currently only $79 (one way) which include Mildura and Avalon.

Flights from Bonza’s second home at Melbourne Airport are expected to go on sale in the next couple of weeks when their next phase begins.

Flights are now available to book from now through to October 2023, with travellers being told to book on the Fly Bonza app to get the lowest fares.
