Watch trailer for cult survival series Alone Australia, coming in March!

Cult-hit survival series Alone Australia will premiere on Wednesday 29th March 2023 on SBS.

The ground-breaking 11-part documentary series sees 10 Aussies dropped into the remote wilds of Western Tasmania/ lutruwita and competing to be the last one standing. The winner takes home $250,000.

But Alone Australia is not your average survival series. There are no scripts, no camera crews, no engineered challenges, no voting, no gimmicks, and no help from the production team.

The survivalists will be stripped of modern possessions, comforts and contact with the modern world, and will have to self-document their experience as they face off against the forces of nature, hunger, and perhaps the toughest challenge of all: loneliness.

They’ll have to rely completely on themselves for food, water, shelter, and warmth, to stay alive using nothing but what’s in their pack and what they find in their habitat.

Tassie is a beautiful but fierce habitat, equal parts danger and wonder, with the series taking place during an unrelentingly cold and wet Tasmanian West Coast winter.

The participants are aged 22 to 52 and include an army veteran, a farmhand and engineering student, a wildlife biologist, a hunting guide and a vet and bush regenerator,

With zero information about the other participants, and no knowledge of how many still remain, participants will push themselves for as long as they can.

Only when they reach their absolute personal or physical limits will they ‘tap out’, one by one, until only one survivalist remains. It is the ultimate test of human will.
