The Best New Streaming Releases This November

Got plans this month? Cancel them, because with these new releases you’ll be glued to the couch and have square eyes by December 1st.

Donna Hay Christmas (Disney+, November 2): “From reimagined festive mains like the ultimate glazed ham, to showstopping desserts like her signature centrepiece pavlova, Donna shares her best time savers and signature cheats to create your own very kind of Christmas magic.”

Blockbuster (Netflix, November 3): “At the last remaining Blockbuster, a hardworking manager fights to keep his video store open and staff happy amid competition and complicated feelings.” Randall Park and Melissa Fumero star in this comedy created by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” writer Vanessa Ramos.

Enola Holmes 2 (Netflix, November 4): “Enola takes on her first official case as a detective, but to solve the mystery of a missing girl, she’ll need help from friends — and brother Sherlock.” Starring big names such as Millie Bobby Brown,Henry Cavill, David Thewlis.


My Policeman (Amazon Prime Video, November 4): “Tom, a policeman in 1950s Britain, falls in love with a schoolteacher on the Brighton coast. However, he soon begins a passionate same-sex affair with a museum curator, in spite of homosexuality being illegal.” The film stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Linus Roache and Rupert Everett.

Zootopia+ (Disney+, November 9): “A return to the metropolis of mammals to discover some intriguing characters, including Fru Fru, the Arctic shrew, Officer Clawhauser, the greedy cheetah and Flash, the surprising sloth.”

The Crown S5 (Netflix, November 9): “Based on an award-winning play (“The Audience”) by show runner Peter Morgan, this lavish, Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times. The series begins with an inside look at the early reign of the queen, who ascended the throne at age 25 after the death of her father, King George VI. As the decades pass, personal intrigues, romances, and political rivalries are revealed that played a big role in events that shaped the later years of the 20th century.” This season will focus on the public and scandalous breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage.

Falling For Christmas (Netflix, November 10): “A young, newly engaged heiress has a skiing accident in the days before Christmas. After she is diagnosed with amnesia, she finds herself in the care of the handsome cabin owner and his daughter.” Starring Lindsay Lohan as ‘Sierra Belmont’.

Yellowstone S5 (Stan, November 14): “Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner is the marquee attraction of the ensemble cast in this drama series, starring as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States.”

Tulsa King (Paramount+, November 14): With Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Hell or High Water) as the creator and Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) as the showrunner and Sylvester Stallone Tulsa King already has big wraps. “New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, is released from prison after 25 years and exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma; realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew.”

The Santa Clauses (Disney+, November 16): Tim Allen returns to the big red suit as Scott Calvin. “Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever; Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.”

Dead To Me S3 (Netflix, November 17): “The dark comedy, which explores the weirdly funny sides of grief, loss and forgiveness, features a cast that includes TV veterans Christina Applegate and Ed Asner. “Season 3 is the final season of the show so expect things to be wild throughout the season!

The People We Hate At The Wedding (Amazon Prime Video, November 18): “Family tensions ramp up among siblings in the week leading up to their half-sister’s wedding in the country.” Starring Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Dustin Milligan, Annie Murphy and Kristen Bell.

Disenchanted (Disney+, November 18): “Years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert and Morgan move to a new community and Andalasia and the real world are thrown off-balance.” Boasting a star studded cast including Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Maya Rudolph, Amy Adams and many more this is sure to be a hit.

Spirited (Apple TV+, November 18): “A musical version of Charles Dickens’ story of a miserly misanthrope who’s taken on a magical journey.” With Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell heading up the cast this will for sure be a fun watch.

Poker Face (Stan, November 22): “A tech billionaire gathers his friends at his home for a high-stakes poker game. Things go awry when his mansion is invaded by a dangerous killer.” This thriller is directed by none other than Russell Crowe and stars Liam Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.

Wednesday (Netflix, November 23): “While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.” This is tipped to be one of the biggest releases of the year and you’d expect it with names like Jenna Ortega, Christina Ricci, Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones bringing the famous family to life.
